Westglen School is a well-established, vibrant community school located in the Westmount community in northwest part of central Edmonton.
Westglen is committed to creating a supportive and challenging learning environment in which all students experience academic success and personal growth. We provide a balanced educational program that promotes lifelong learning and encourages students to become caring, respectful, and responsible citizens who make effective contributions to society.
Westglen has a strong tradition of commitment to the environment. In 2009, Westglen completed its 3000th environmental project and was recognized as an Earth III school, the first school in Alberta and the third in Canada to achieve this status. In June 2010, Westglen School was named the winner of a 2010 Emerald Award in the Education category by the Alberta Foundation for Environmental Excellence.
